Spring cleaning
It's amazing the things you find when you're cleaning. I was bored today so I decided to clean out one of the office shelf stacks so I can get it the fuck out of my way, and amoung the usual shite I found a random little gem. I had to look through a huge pile of blank CD's to find it, and naturally it was the very last one, but it was just so random it made it all worth it. It's an unmarked CD, with two untitled songs from 1st January 1995. Yes that's right, 14 years ago. Wtf?! First of all how in gods name do I still have this? Secondly, why was my brother burning it at 1am on New Years Eve? Maybe it wasn't him... maybe someone burned it for him.. but why New Years? And how have I just found this now? Hmm.. the questions are endless.
Anyway, what it is is two different versions of 'Wild Horses'. One is the original Rolling Stones version that I don't have anymore since my 'Sticky Fingers' album has gone walkies, and the other is The Sundays version that I do have but I haven't listened to in donkeys since it's on my forbidden playlist.
*Sigh*
Ok that's probably not at all interesting to you, but I thought it was pretty remarkable that I still had a burned CD from '95.. and that song as well.. hmm.. I don't even remember when we got our first PC. Did we have a PC in '94? We must've... Fuck I wish I had a better memory.
EDIT: Actually on second thoughts we didn't have a PC in '94. Our first PC had Windows 95 on it and that didn't come out til Aug '95. I think I was still rockin' my mums PowerBook 100 and the old BBC computer that she had stored under her wardrobe at that stage. Ohhh the memories! I can't believe she threw it away last year when I wasn't home. What a sin!
